Jean Lalonde, Co-CEO
Jean began his communications career in 1987, developing professional, sales force and patient education programs for Merck, Glaxo, Schering, Roche, Wyeth, and BMS. In 1995, he co-founded IC Axon Inc., which pioneered e-learning and performance support systems in the pharmaceutical industry, as it collected 32 international awards and grew from 3 to 200 employees over five years. Jean's business leadership was confirmed through awards from Deloitte & Touche (Technology Fast 50), National Post Profit Magazine (50 Best-Managed Private Companies), and The Gazette (Outstanding Young MontrĂ©alers). Following the sale of IC Axon, Jean co-founded investment group The Pleio Network, Inc., which he also chairs. Along with partner Mark Connors, he is now the Co-CEO of Pleio Health Support Systems, Inc.—a pioneer in the area of patient adherence. He has a BA in Communication Studies from Concordia University, and sits on the Board of Progression Music, Inc., a distributor of classic progressive rock titles.
Mark Connors, Co-CEO
Mark has tackled the complexity of information exchange in military, law and medicine for most of his career. Mark received a BS degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1983 and was a varsity football letterman. While in the Army, he served as acting commander of a 210-person engineer company, earned a Masters in Engineering Administration at George Washington University, and became a licensed professional engineer. Mr. Connors left the service to obtain his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990 before joining Deloitte & Touche. Between 1991 and 2007, he founded, built, and sold two database information companies—Legal Support Systems and Database Publishing Group—and joined the Boards of the Global Alliance for Medical Education and the West Point Society of New England. Mark joined Jean Lalonde as Co-CEO of Pleio Health Support Systems in 2008.
Michael Feldman, VP Technology
Mike joined Pleio with over 20 years experience in software development and a dozen commercial software titles to his credit. His industry experience spans health insurance, home services, pharmacy management systems and call centers. He has taught for major university-based continuing education programs, including Harvard on telecommunications and database topics. He is also an expert in internet privacy and security issues including the HIPAA Privacy Rule regulations. Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the IEEE and the ACM and holds the PMP project management certification.
Jon Leibowitz, VP Business Development
Jon has 20 plus years experience in high growth environments. At M|C Communications, he was a key architect of Pri-Med, the industry-leader in Continuing Medical Education. Prior to M|C, Leibowitz worked with Fidelity Capital managing one of its portfolio companies; with Reed-Elsevier as an IT product portfolio Group Vice President; as a management consultant with APM, a health care consultancy; and with The Segal Company, an employee benefits consulting firm. Leibowitz has a BA from Hamilton College and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business.
Marc Lafoley, VP Analytics
Marc has focused more than fifteen years of his career to the healthcare industry in the development and commercialization of biopharmaceuticals, continuing medical and patient education, and the leveraging of eBusiness for several organizations. His experience spans multiple disciplines including strategic planning, analytics, brand and sales management, patient support and education programs, as well as patient advocacy and privacy. His dedication to help improve patients afflicted with diseases was recognized by the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society when Marc was presented with the MS Leadership Award in recognition of his social commitment and contribution to the MS Community. Marc has an undergraduate degree in Marketing and Finance and a Master of Science in Administration specializing in Marketing from The John Molson School of Business where he has also been a guest lecturer.
